Putty Pad is a non-hardening, flexible pad that increases its volume based on silicone polymer with flame retardant additives. The pad can be inserted inside or on the outside of sockets or installation boxes. In the event of a fire, it creates a robust fire-resistant burn that prevents burnout in the place of electrical or pipe transitions. Only 1 mat or kit is needed per box. Any combination of internal/external mounting can be used for greater flexibility.
Putty Pad can be supplied in 4 sizes for single or double installation boxes and a kit for plumbing installation boxes and are supplied on quick-removal paper. It is also an ideal product for air sealing around transitions.
